Artist Statement:
Each piece begins as an invitation. Summons, from another place, another space. Stepping through the gate, I wander in-betweens of endless, ethereal skies and moody, abyssal hallways, then bind the ephemeral magic of these quiet sacred spaces to their paintings through the play of light and the glint of gold.

Artist Bio:
Jay Stoneking is a queer artist and author. Creation is the physical, ritual magic through which he dreams into the world. His works explore the boundary between art and the occult, drawing inspiration from fantasy and science fiction alongside symbols and forms from modern witchcraft. Within his delicate portals, gates, and arcane scrolls, he explores his intersectional identity, trauma, and personal divinity on a pilgrimage of becoming.
Stoneking's creative practice includes traditional and digital mediums, installation, design, and written works. His paintings have been shown at galleries throughout the Pacific Northwest, and his artwork can be found in private collections across the United States and Canada.
CoCA ShowWalls is a show opportunity for CoCA Artist in partnership with local businesses.
