Thresholds

I like working from glimpses of happenstance arrangements that surprise me on city streets, forest trails, and neighborhood sidewalks. I explore the interplay of natural and constructed elements, focusing on the dynamic tension between organic forms and human-made structures.

Through painting, drawing, and sculpture, I construct layered compositions that invite the viewer to contemplate the inherent abstract qualities of our environment. I am drawn to the subtle details, textures, and patterns found in both nature and the built world, such as the erosion of surfaces and the accumulation of materials.

Ultimately, I would like my work to create a moment of contemplation for the viewer where perception expands allowing space to make personal connections.
