Art Is Not Dead
Your participation is requested!
Organized by outgoing Co-President Ray C. Freeman III, AIND presents two weeks of continuous fun, excitement, collaboration, painting, jamming, and sharing at CoCA, with visiting artists and musicians from Europe, including Venice, Milan, Verona, and more …even Russia, . Pre-opening on Wednesday, reaching fever pitch on First Thursday, then continuing the for another week. 10am-10pm daily.
Includes collaborative group painting, open music jams, scheduled performances, and more.
ART IS NOT DEAD is a movement that unites music and art. The aim is creating connections between artists, musicians, and supporters to find new ways of sharing and collaborating.
International Outreach
For years, recent Co-President Dave Francis has been encouraging all Board Members traveling abroad to make contact with local artists, galleries, and organizations. In Venice, it all came together. Ray ran into a local organization, working with artists from all over Europe and Russia, that not unlike CoCA was experimenting with new ways of presenting contemporary art, crossing media boundaries, encouraging collaboration between not only artists but between artists and musicians and between artist, musicians, and the general public. In fact, in may ways they are ahead of us in those areas. It was a no brainer.
Ray invited AIND organizers to create a show from within both their own membership and ours, and the resulting show is a truly international collaboration. Our participating members now also have the opportunity to participate in future exhibition put on by AIND in Venice and elsewhere.
We sincerely hope that you join us. Any day of the week. Any time of day. Come on down.
CoCA and the artists gratefully acknowledge operational and programming support from the following organizations:
