This piece constructs a man made symbolic journey . The goal is to escapes the utilitarian landscape. The result is a much needed sacred place. Its function is to gather , reflect , and share the experience of the park. . . an escapee from the banal.
Entering on the line of a spiral (a symbol or a journey), surrounded by small trees and saplings , the visitor enters a small room. An over head canopy allows for shelter. Paradise found within the man made landscape.
