Ray is an award-winning architect who has practiced in Seattle for more than 25 years, both through his former firm, WORKSHOP 3D Design Studio, and through collaborations with others. He was the founder of CyberToys, Inc., where he produced multi-media software for LEGO and the White House, and was President of Blueprint: for Architecture 1984-1985.

He has taught in the Univerity of Washington's Department of Architecture and Design Machine Group, at the Boston Architectural Center, and in the Career Discovery program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He is a 1977 graduate of the University of Washington, and received a Master of Architecture, with Distinction, from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1982.

Ray came to CoCA as Curator of the Belltown Gallery, which he had curated for Hugo House for the preceding two years, and quickly became an active member of the board, helping to produce our Art Marathon in 2007 and 2008, as well as numerous shows and openings at our Belltown Gallery.
