Gallery Talk: June 19, 1 p.m., CoCA

Artists on Site: July 17, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m., pick up map at CoCA

Here and There showcases the work of a collaborative group of ten Seattle-based visual artists who will be working in various Seattle area neighborhoods to produce artwork that responds to local conditions. Each artist will work alongside community members for several weeks. The resulting 11 works will be installed in their location of creation ("there") and at CoCA ("here"). A map/catalog will be produced to guide viewers from site to site on self-conducted tours. "There" sites will be free and open to the public throughout the exhibition period. On June 19, Here and There artists will give a gallery talk at 1 p.m. at CoCA. They will also be available at each site to talk with visitors and answer questions on Saturday, July 17, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Here and There artists include Harriet Sanderson, Ingrid Lahti, Mary Zeran, Erin Shie Palmer, Ruth Marie Tomlinson, Colleen Hayward, Deborah F. Lawrence, Rosemary Barile, Jennifer L. Dixon and Heather Dew Oaksen.

This project is part of the Land/Use/Action series at CoCA.
