Jennifer Gately GUEST JUROR:  JENNIFER GATELY

Earlier in 2006, Jennifer Gately was named The Portland Art Museum's Arlene & Harold Schnitzer Curator of Northwest Art. Gately is responsible for the care, research, exhibition, and growth of the Arlene & Harold Schnitzer Center for Northwest Art collection and the development of special exhibitions of Northwest art. She will work with art and artists of the Northwest region comprising Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Vancouver B.C., in the areas of acquisitions, exhibitions, publications, and donors. Gately coordinated the selection of the 2006 Oregon Biennial.

Gately's recent exhibitions include: A Great Mania: The Influence of Delftware with Tony de los Reyes and Roger Anderson; Everyday Objects with John Bisbee, Lisa Hoke, Cindy Tower, Amanda Wojick, and Victoria Haven; and Confluence with Ghada Amer, Shirin Neshat, and Shahzia Sikander.
